Editorial Policy

This page explains how content and listings on the Accommodation Directory are sourced, produced, checked and kept up to date.
Sourcing
Business listings are sourced from public business records or added directly by business owners through our Add my site form. Guides and articles are written around publicly available information about the topics they cover.
AI assistance
Articles and guides on this site are produced with the help of AI-assisted drafting tools, following structured research and editorial prompts. We say this plainly because we think you should know how content on this site is made.
Verification before publishing
Before anything is published, it passes through our publishing pipeline, which checks for structural completeness and duplicate content (matching titles, slugs and canonical URLs) before an article can go live. This is an automated check, not a manual editorial read-through of every article — we want to be accurate about that rather than imply a review process that doesn't exist.
Human review where it happens
We don't currently claim manual human review of every article before publication. Where human review does happen is in response to something you tell us: when a correction is reported through our Corrections page, a person looks at the specific page and, where the report is accurate, corrects or removes the content.
Updates
Guides and listings are updated when new information becomes available or when a correction is confirmed. Article pages show a "Published" date and, where the content has genuinely changed since first publishing, an "Updated" date — both reflect the real record for that page, not a generated timestamp.
Corrections
If you spot something inaccurate, out of date, or unclear, please use our Corrections page or contact us directly. See that page for what happens after you report something and how long it typically takes.
